Ash Wednesday: Entrance Antiphon

Wisdom 11:24, 25, 27

You are merciful to all, O Lord,
and despise nothing that you have made.
You overlook people’s sins, to bring them to repentance,
and you spare them, for you are the Lord our God
(Wisdom 11:24, 25, 27)

Verse 1:

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me,
for in you my soul has taken refuge.
(Psalm 57:2)

Verse 2:

Be exalted above the heavens, O God;
above all the earth be your glory!
(Psalm 57:6)

Verse 3:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
(Gloria Patri)
