Palm Sunday: Communion Antiphon
Father, if this chalice cannot pass without my drinking it,
your will be done. (Matthew 26:42)
I believed, even when I said, “I am greatly afflicted;”
and when I said in my alarm, “Men are all a vain hope.”
How shall a make a return to the Lord for all the good he has done for me?
The chalice of salvation I will take up, and I will call on the Lord’s name.
(Psalm 116: 12-13)
My vows to the Lord I will fulfill in the presence of all His people.
Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones.
To you will I offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and I will call upon the Lord’s name.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
