Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles (Day): Entrance Antiphon

These are the ones who, living in the flesh,
planted the Church with their blood;
they drank the chalice of the Lord
and became the friends of God.

My heart overflows with noble words.
To the king I address the song I have made,

You are the most handsome of the sons of men,
and graciousness is poured out upon your lips.
(Psalm 45:3a)
Verse 3:
For God has blessed you forevermore.
Gird your sword upon your thigh, 0 mighty one.
(Psalm 45:3b-4a)
Verse 4:
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
(Gloria Patri)
