Rebecca De La Torre

Software/Audio Engineer & Composer

Rebecca is the primary software developer, audio engineer and composer for The Modern Psalmist.  She serves as the Director of Parish Administration (and Music) at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa, AZ.  She is also the owner and audio engineer at Topkat Studios in Tempe, AZ, and audio engineer for the Gregorian Chant ensemble, Floriani.

With over 21 years experience leading music for mass in Spanish and English, Rebecca has devoted thousands of hours to developing The Modern Psalmist site and resources.  Her mission is to make sacred music – both ancient and modern – available and accessible to musicians all over the world in English, Spanish, and Latin.

Rebecca earned her B.S. in Computer Science from Arizona State University and did extensive graduate work in Digital Signal Pocessing.

Sofia Falter

Catalog Manager

Sofia Falter is a dedicated cradle Catholic with a profound commitment to service. With a heart for ministry, she actively contributes to several parishes in the East Valley of Phoenix. Her roles span from sacristan and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to lector and liturgical minister coordinator.

Beyond her parish work, Sofia teaches at a Catholic school, where she encourages her students to grow in their faith by inviting them to take on roles such as altar servers, lectors, and A/V support for Mass. Her multifaceted involvement reflects her deep devotion and passion for fostering spiritual growth in her community.

Cory Burris

Engraver, Composer

Cory Burris is an accomplished organist, pianist, composer and engraver based in Phoenix, Arizona. He specializes in transcriptions, arrangements, and classical organ performance.  He is a resident organist and accompanist at Our Lady of Joy in Carefree, AZ.

Cory has earned bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College in northeast Ohio and a master’s degree from Arizona State University.

Patri Contreras

Audio and Video Editor

Patri studied audio engineering in Venezuela and manages the Modern Psalmist YouTube channel as well as lyric videos.
