When the Gospel of Lazarus is read:

Everyone who lives and believes in me
will not die for ever, says the Lord.
(John 11:26)

When the Gospel of the Adulterous Woman is read:

Has no one condemned you, woman? No one, Lord.
Neither shall I condemn you. From now on, sin no more.
(John 8:10-11)

When another Gospel is read:

Amen, Amen I say to you: Unless a grain of wheat
falls to the ground and dies, it remains a single grain.
But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
