26th Sunday in Ordinary Time: Offertory Antiphon
Psalm 137:1
By the rivers of Babylon
there we sat and wept,
when we remembered Sion.
(Psalm 137:1)
Verse 1:
For it was there that they asked us,
our captors, for songs
(Psalm 137:3)
Verse 2:
O how could we sing the song of the LORD
on foreign soil?
(Psalm 137:4)
Verse 3:
O let my tongue cleave fast to my palate
if I remember you not,
if I prize not Jerusalem,
the first of my joys!
(Psalm 137:6)
Verse 4:
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
