Communion Antiphon – 3rd Lent
Lyrics / Letras
The sparrow finds a home,
and the swallow a nest for her young:
by your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.
Blessed are they who dwell in your house,
for ever singing your praise. (Psalm 84:4-5)
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts,
my soul is longing and yearning for the courts of the Lord.
Behold, O God our protector,
and look on the face of your Christ.
O Lord, God of hosts, harken unto my prayer,
give ear, O God of Jacob.
For better is one day in your courts,
than thousands elsewhere.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
