First Reading
1 Chronicles 15:3-4, 15-16; 16:1-2
David assembled all Israel in Jerusalem to bring the ark of the LORD
to the place which he had prepared for it.
David also called together the sons of Aaron and the Levites.
The Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with poles,
as Moses had ordained according to the word of the LORD.
David commanded the chiefs of the Levites
to appoint their kinsmen as chanters,
to play on musical instruments, harps, lyres, and cymbals,
to make a loud sound of rejoicing.
They brought in the ark of God and set it within the tent
which David had pitched for it.
Then they offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings to God.
When David had finished offering up the burnt offerings and peace offerings,
he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
Primera Lectura
1 Crónicas 15, 3-4. 15-16; 16, 1-2
En aquellos días, David congregó en Jerusalén a todos los israelitas, para trasladar el arca de la alianza al lugar que le había preparado. Reunió también a los hijos de Aarón y a los levitas. Estos cargaron en hombros los travesaños sobre los cuales estaba colocada el arca de la alianza, tal como lo había mandado Moisés, por orden del Señor.
David ordenó a los jefes de los levitas que entre los de su tribu nombraran cantores para que entonaran cantos festivos, acompañados de arpas, cítaras y platillos.
Introdujeron, pues, el arca de la alianza y la instalaron en el centro de la tienda que David le había preparado. Ofrecieron a Dios holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión, y cuando David terminó de ofrecerlos, bendijo al pueblo en nombre del Señor.

For the sake of David your servant,
reject not the plea of your anointed.

1 Corinthians 15:54b-57
Brothers and sisters:
When that which is mortal clothes itself with immortality,
then the word that is written shall come about:
Death is swallowed up in victory.
Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?
The sting of death is sin,
and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corintios 15, 54-57
Hermanos: Cuando nuestro ser corruptible y mortal se revista de incorruptibilidad e inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra de la Escritura: La muerte ha sido aniquilada por la victoria. ¿Dónde está, muerte, tu victoria? ¿Dónde está, muerte, tu aguijón? El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado y la fuerza del pecado es la ley. Gracias a Dios, que nos ha dado la victoria por nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

En aquel tiempo, mientras Jesús hablaba a la multitud, una mujer del pueblo, gritando, le dijo: ¡Dichosa la mujer que te llevó en su seno y cuyos pechos te amamantaron! Pero Jesús le respondió: Dichosos todavía más los que escuchan la palabra de Dios y la ponen en práctica.
